Hey ting and hell... ;D

I just got the word that I will be a movie star January 15th. I posted a link to the NatGeo site that has a clip.

It is a new thread in my busting stories.

Does anyone know if it is also going to be shown in the UK? Or is the Nat Geo channel world wide these days? I don't have a TV, so don't keep up with these things.

Hi Renee. I thought everyone had a TV.

Sometimes I think we would all be better off without them. I'm not sure but I think it will air in the UK too. I will see what I can find out and let you know.

Thanks Dan.

I got rid of my TV a few years ago. I just don't have the time for it, between working a full week and writing in my spare time, it is a distraction I don't need. The good shows are available on-line in the UK anyway. And I download anything else I need, such as The Big Bang Theory.

That said, I have converted my 2nd bedroom into a mini cinema. So when I watch movies (something I do really enjoy), it is on a 6' screen with surround sound.

I'd like to have a NatGeo party, complete with red carpets, champagne (for the braver CHer's who can still have a bit of the bubbly) and of course the paparazzi!

Is Oregon too far for you guys to come?

There's a schedule here: http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/schedule/ngc/

Set date to 1/15, and the blue rectangle top right shows the times for different zones.

I hadn't really looked at the structure of the whole show before -- seems like maybe a lot of sensationalism mixed in with the positive CH/MM story? http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/player/national-geographic-channel/shows/drugs-inc/ngc-drug-labs-in-the-forest.html

thankfully, they seem to have covered the CH story sensibly and sympathetically, at least from the clip -- which, by the way, is now posted by nat geo at youtube, where it's been seen by close to 13,000 people in less than two days: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Njb4H1x8oSg

i suppose they have to sensationalize the promos to get viewers.  the first two episodes in this nat geo "drugs, inc." series this year, "hash" and "crack," got over 4 million viewers.  so, people will learn and people will be helped.

thanks again, dan, lee ann, and family.

The Drugs Inc. series is starting in the UK on 10 Jan 2012, with a look at Grand Theft Auto.

17 Jan is Hash.

24 Jan is Crack.

But, I can't find any TV listings for Feb yet, and I'm guessing this episode will be in Feb in the UK, if they follow through with all the episodes.

The full episode list is something like this - from looking at the Nederland listing: (and in no particular order)

Heroin

Meth

Cocaine

Ketamine

Cannabis

Hash

Ecstasy

Hallucinogens (13 Feb on the Nederland's channel)

Designer Drugs

Pill Nation

But, not sure what order the UK is going in, or when the episode will show over here. But it looks like it will show.

Link to the UK site: http://natgeotv.com/uk/drugs-inc/about

Really looking forward to seeing it. Eventually. LOL

Hey Danny,

I finally got to see the clip. You are one handsome mofo. And you got one fine looking lady. But mostly.... I like your truck. You make me proud, dude.

Renee: The episode will be easy to find on torrent sites the same day or the day after it airs, so you do not have to wait for the uk tv schedule..
