It happens, no worries. Something to do with your memory cache, cookies, when you last logged in and what else you have open at the time. I think the day of the week and the lunar cycles play a part too. ;-) Usually you can push OK or reload the page and it goes away. Let me know if it persists. FG

Do you need to have a hallucinogenic experience to bust a CH, or not? I've heard from knowledgeable Docs with opinions on both sides of this topic, it makes for fascinating conversation until their talk gets beyond my understanding. :-) Sub-hallucinogenic, no hallucinations or full trip?? My opinion is that a successful bust is not dependent on having or experiencing a trip, but for some (including myself) to reach a therapeutic dose of psilo or lsd a trip is going to happen. I believe its not the trip, but the amount. (Bob said that once, lol) For comparison, it's kinda like taking a Tylenol for a tension headache. Some people get away with 500 mg and some need 1000 mg. It may not depend on size, body weight or intensity of that headache, some people just need more.  tolerance, adaptation, secondary factor. Who knows?? As for how this class of chemical works, the truth is there is so little know about most medications. Efficacy is based on results and while they try to understand the physical and physiological pathway that often is not know. Using Tylenol again, read how it works: http://www.rxlist.com/tylenol-drug/clinical-pharmacology.htm "Although the exact site and mechanism of analgesic action is not clearly defined........" Some day I'm sure we will know how all this stuff works, tylenol, psilo, lsd and TNF. Hopefully by then CH will be eliminated also. Thread like this may lead to that!! Sorry, not trying to sidetrack the thread, this is all fascinating. And yes, most of it is way over my head too. FG

Not to alarm anyone but this article is a bit frightening.  Many clusterheads consume a lot of painkillers, I've taken more than my share over the years. :-( http://www.webmd.com/pain-management/news/20111220/deaths-drug-poisoning-in-us-jump-sixfold It showed that 40 Americans die from prescription painkiller abuse every day.  YIKES!! Cocaine was involved in about 5,100 deaths and heroin was involved in about 3,000 deaths in 2008. 5100/365 = 13 per day 3000/365 = 8 per day Am I reading this correctly??   Good grief. 40 per day from prescription painkillers. Wow. Let be careful. FG Doug

Well done. LOL, "i looked at their faces and how surprised they looked and how little they knew and how frightening they think it is when they do not know how to help a patient". They should be on the inside and see how frightening this actually can be when the doc dosn't know how to help. Well, maybe best they aren't, wouldn't wish the CH on anyone. Ting, you've make their day, and ours. Thank you.

Sorry all, the board went into maintenance mode last evening. I couldn't get it out and running again, not sure what happened. It seems to be working fine now. (DJ to the rescue!!!) Sorry about that. FG

The birthday calendar is built into the YaBB board programing, we can only have it or not, can't modify it. There were a couple of people/groups working on electronic CH calendars though I've not heard anything about that in a long time? Tracking you CH, knowing what works and when is IMO critical to managing your CH We are left with what we've always done, pencil and paper notes. CH diaries in the files sections, keep lots of notes and charts. Know your CH. Life in the stone age.  :-) FG

I seem to recall a post long ago that explained why dissolving Imitrex was not a good idea, but I can't find it now. Anyone?? Yep, most everyone here understands the sleep deprivation. :-(

Are you a clusterheads from the Vegas area? We're going to need some local help, places to ship stuff to, local printing, etc etc. Please let me know. Thanks FG

I really hate doing that. I have permission from the original post/joke. The rest go too for one reason or another. Sorry. PM's coming to those involved. If I remember everyone, FG

When you get that error, what head shows up at the top of your page, general board or global announcements? I think what is happening is when you click on the "last post" by me it takes you to where I moved the thread from. (it got lost into global, somehow) Once someone posts in that thread in the General Board, the problem should go away. I think. EDIT: Got it figured out. It is because I moved it from an admin section to general, it still thinks it's in the admin section. Everything else in the thread works but my move line. Sorry, can't fix that so I will delete it.

It seems to be fine now, I think? Anyone else having problems. Some how it was that thread that messed up the index yesterday. It has been moved around. I may try and delete the posts about moving the thread, but I wonder what that might screw up?? KI was online about when you posted this, I was doing some maintenance stuff. That might have done it? Anyone else having problems. FG and .... lol at Lenny :-)

We had little problem, like the entire board going off line. ;-) You may have noticed :-) testing... testing..... Can anyone hear me??? Carry on! FG

http://www.eSurveysPro.com/Survey.aspx?id=2aea41cd-198f-4cdd-bba1-98fe1473c514 This seems to happen on occasion and there is no explanation why?? Try clearing your memory cache. Use a different web browser (Firefox and opera still create problems for some, sometimes) Are you on a Mac? Anyone else having problems?? FG
