  1. Ok Jeeb.. This bit reminded me of pulling a shaunjeeber! This too has happened to me bud. After all was said and done I strangely got kudos for sealing a deal that I remembered noda about. Was later told that I spoke to the trades involved in the project along with current economic escalation impact.. Maybe God has a soft spot for us.. I sure like to believe as much.
  2. Got to love a straight shooter I completely agree with @jon019 on this one. This bit just makes me wonder about the influence being interjected on this individual. Seems that it could be a Dr. that disagrees with alternative medicine or even a family member that is unsettled by the thought of medicating with alternative (non-pharma) meds. Either way, my personal experience with triptans was awful. Sure, I got a good 20 to 30 minutes or so of reprieve from the use of the nasal sumatriptan and sometimes with maxalt as well. In the end what sealed the deal with me on triptans was a slowly ramping up cycle where I had believed my neuro that said I absolutely must take the medication at the slightest hint of an attack (I believe this to be true for migraine not so much CH). About a year ago, I did just that and experienced the looongest, worst hit filled cycle of my entire CH career! I hadn't understood the way my CH worked at the time and thought even one spike meant the end of the world as I knew it. Turns out that sometimes I get random spikes then nothing for months after. Since ditching the triptans (knock on wood) I have never experienced anything of that sort again. Do I still keep a few nasal sprays in my purse.. Yep I sure do because if I'm in a critical client meeting where I could stand to loos a project for the company I could use 30 minutes to buy me a close and am willing to suffer to keep the ball rolling at the firm. Anyhow I felt compelled to respond to this as my experience with triptans was so bad that I have road out many a hit without them for the simple fact that I knew in the end I would be better off for it.
  3. These types of reports scare me. I wonder what your dosage was prior to increasing to 480 and what type of verapamil (ER or RR)? I am assuming you were on a lower dose prior with the "increased" wording in your message. Anyhow, I am happy you are finding relief at 480 which is where I am at. So glad you also got O2 as it really can be a game changer for so many. I struggle with the O2 and get "hit and miss" results but any score is better than none and most of my unsuccessful aborts happen when I was unable to get to the O2 quick enough. Since you got your 02 today, keep in mind that you will be in need of a non re-breather mask along with a regulator that allows at a minimum of 15-25 LPM flow rate which can be easily purchased online. This made me laugh. Sorry I tend to appreciate humor of this sort. I may be demented in that way but blame God.. He made me this way.. Jelly over this comment but do need to preach the D3 regimen which has kept me doing quite well for some time now. You can read about it on here by using the search bar. Wishing you the best!!
  4. I don't think the walking has any real effect on CH as far as prevention with the exception of a short term abort/reprieve. On some of my super long 3-4hr. attacks I will take a swift walk to get a little "banger break" but they always come back as soon as I sit down and relax for more than a minute or so. Consistent sleep is a biggie for me, interrupted schedule always has me shadowing super bad the morning after. Anyhow.. two cents for what it's worth.
  5. That's just what I was thinking! Naked leg an all! Oh and the bump Is like a strawberry (cherry is too much..).. Your the best Jeeb!
  6. First I need to say....Thanks to all my cluster head buddies for responding to my rant. Today was so stressful in that I had worked so hard to ensure a one and done visit but that didn't happen. I had contacted the surgery center one day after the appointment for todays surgery that had been set and asked about the fact that she was 8 days into the antibiotics for a UTI and had expressed that I wanted to know if it could in any way effect her ability for surgery. Was told no and to just get her in. I did bring her in at 10 am today only to receive the information that she needed to be tested for any infection prior to being released/approved for surgery so I was bummed as I specifically tried to avoid this hurdle. She is now home with a cast and shaved hind leg, urinalysis that is being processed and a completed ultrasound that shows a severed tendon that will need a wire mesh implant to be fixed. I suppose this is no biggie if your not an animal momma. We fasted her since 8pm last night and fully expected a surgery to fix her up today so to say the least we are bummed/disappointed in ourselves for not doing better for her. I fully understand that with this post not being CH related It may not warrant much response and that's ok as this is just me unwinding and needing to vent.
  7. LOL I have to admit that this bit made me laugh. I am a lover of all things cheese as well. I think the nixing of dairy is legit to a degree, but I have been on the D reg for quite some time with wonderful results and I have not cut the cheese (pun intended)
  8. This is just rubbish and so frustrating! So sorry you are dealing with this. I have your old meds that you accidentally left behind during your previous visit. I can get them back to you if you would like?
  9. LOL Jeeb only you can put a spin on something awful and make if funny....
  10. This sounds like a great pre-vacation set up! Zomig is still in the class of triptans so I believe it may interfere. Not sure about the ergotamine but found this blurb about it online. (Ergotamine is in a class of medications called ergot alkaloids. It works together with caffeine by preventing blood vessels in the head from expanding and causing headaches.)
  11. Hi Kat and thank you for the beautiful pic of your pup! I use curcumin with ginger but I think the stress is just causing worse shadows than normal.... I'll be fine just a rough few weeks..
  12. Thanks @Bejeeber! I'm a little down in the dumps but your response put a smile on my grouchy face!
  13. Uff.. I'll start with apologizing for my weak moment. My older lab Abby Doo has been home and injured for nearly two weeks. My husband and I have been rotating office and home time to ensure she is not left alone as she has a torn tendon in her rt rear leg and can't make it far to potty. My home is covered in potty pads, my husband and I are sleeping on an air mattress down stairs to be with her because using the stairs is out of the question, my sleep schedule is out the window at the moment due to being awoken with the need to go and my stress is through the roof! I had an attack last Friday because the cluster bunny managed to somehow get through my barriers. I dosed with a good deal of seeds and have been ok since but my goodness I am a wreck between the 3 emergency visits to our 24/hr. animal hospital, the run around to get her set for surgery, the worries of her being put under at 11 years of age and the body aches from in-home camping... My shadows are out of control and my moral is lacking. Not sure why i am posting this other than anxt. Anyhow thanks for putting up with me . My animals are my children... Rant over.
  14. Gosh darn it @Shaun brearley, thought I told you that I identify as a skittle farting unicorn!!
  15. Them some comfortable pillows! Squishy and such!
  16. Well so much for my comment the other day about not having stuff coming out of your eye Maybe just try some of the over the counter pink eye treatment drops and see if it works. If not maybe a visit to the Doc is necessary.
  17. 12 minutes ago, kat_92 said: nothing gross coming from my eye). Well that's a positive in this dreadful mess your unfortunately dealing with! Wishing you a merry busting and happy clear year!
  18. Could be just that your CH is aggravated by being sick especially if its the eye on your CH side but other than that I'm not sure. I suppose it could be a symptom of COVID. I read something that said 1% - 3% of people with COVID can develop conjunctivitis?
  19. Hey Kat, I've had COVID and the Flu bug. COVID was more mild for me than this recent flu which did cause me to start spiking out. I had thought that I was increasing my D3 but made the mistake of pulling from the wrong bottle. Once I "actually" increased my D they stopped. I would definitely suggest an increase like @Bejeeber mentioned and since you are sick I would up my zinc and C. Hope you get better soon!!
  20. There are some seeds (not sure about RC) that can be stored for 5-6 years but they are organic material and will break down over time naturally. The most important factors to consider are light, moisture and temperature. I store my garden seeds in zip locks with a paper towel inside the zip lock and then inside a mason jar in the garage fridge.
  21. Hey @lp3 I just wanted to take a moment and reply to this post because I can feel your anger, disappointment and devastation through your words. To start I want to say that no your life is not a joke nor is mine or any other cluster head's. @mit12 was correct in saying that a cure is non-existent and that buying time to live life as we used to is possible! I really get where your coming from with not wanting to hear another bleep about a janky hypo or D3 or busting etc.. In the past I believed that this affliction was a punishment of sorts for some bad thing (I've done many a bad thing) in my past. Truthfully that's like saying a baby diagnosed with leukemia is being dished penance. For what?? I'm so sorry that you have not found "clear brain" as of yet and that your torment is so awful. My life has changed so much since this diagnosis that at times I'm not sure who or what I've become. My strength is perseverance! Try, Try and Try again! Don't give up my friend! Never give up! Yes it's hard and if you believe God chose you to walk the hollows of horrer then be proud because God chooses only THE BEST!
  22. I believe Spiny mentioned caffeine tablets and 5 hour energy shots. Sounds to me like your really prepared with the pre dosing with M prior! Please share how it goes as it's a huge fear of mine as well and I haven't been on a plane since diagnosed. Good luck!
  23. He was pretty refreshing to watch. That bit about thinking he had an aneurysm and or that he was dying made me smile because I
