  2. As Racer said, CH meds, including verapamil, can become less effective over time. Your 240/day verap is essentially the minimum dose, and IR is strongly recommended instead of ER. Yes, you got results from the 240 ER in the past, but IR at a higher level might be needed this time. In glancing through this thread, I'm not seeing -- or I probably am missing -- mentions of the vitamin D3 regimen, which is a better, and better-for-you, preventive than verap.

  4. I love cats. And she is a beauty:) I don't mean to sound like such a downer it's just that sometimes when looking on this site it sure would be nice to see something other than years of pain. I have a bit of a hard time accepting the loss of the old me that's all. So funny that the real Ganuchi is your kitty as the real Bosco Piko is also my cat. Thank you for the pick me up:)

  5. Hi all, A pretty unusual post this! In the last six months, I've had some testing periods with CH. These experiences lead me to write a couple of songs inspired by what I've gone through. I figured it would be cathartic to share the recordings (only rough demo tracks!) with the community here. It got me wondering whether anyone knows of any professional/famous artists who have ever released songs inspired by CH?! Anyway, here are links to the two songs. I hope there's something there you can associate with - if not, that will say a lot about my song writing skills Until The Next Time - https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/fqGAE Two Sides - https://bit.ly/3hupDYB Best wishes to you all, Drewbie

  6. You could take it out for feeding and lovies to help acclimate it to the new turf! Feed a kitty and they stay for life if you don't mistreat them.

  7. OMG….so glad you gave them a home! We have considered a “barn buddy” cat for my work but the lady at the shelter said we have to keep it locked up in a cage for two weeks so it learns where it’s home is and I thought that was kind of cruel…..maybe we will re-consider!

  9. How cute…..love the eyes! Funny that we named ourselves after our cats!! I hope things turn around for you but I do completely understand the despair….we all feel it at some time or another And yes @spiny…..Ganuchi lives the life - she is quite regal! I ask her all the time if we can trade places for at least a day but she has no interest in such

  10. Energy drinks or shots are what most people use. I am for coffee as the energy stuff comes right back up for me. I do use V8 Energy during the day a good bit and always have a cup-a-joe at 5pm. Just for my head. Ginger is for shadows. Light hits that are a minimal bother, but still drag you down. Don't know why it works. Don't really care. Just know that it does work very well. And who will give you a hard time for eating it? No one I would not think, so no awkward questions to answer.

  11. Well, the thing that you will find with Clusters, they will morph over time for NO reason. Just when you think you have your triggers and such figured out, it will change. Shrug. So it goes and round and round and repeat. Allergies seem to contribute to CH. So, allergy season is hard. Benadryl at night is a help for many. Hang in there, you will figure it out. Better than the doctors can do it for you. You alone will know what sets your head off. For me, the biggie is low pressure weather fronts. I strongly recommend the D3 regimen to all CHers! Vitamins are great!!

This is Dallas Denny singing the Cluster Song at the convention in 2019. The beginning is Hello Clusters my old friend...... Maybe that sounds familiar?

  13. Many have observed that heavy pollen can bring on or extend a cycle it seems. In addition, many can't take certain odors without getting hit: gasoline, paint products, perfumes. It depends on the CHer. So, I would say yes, there is a good chance that the environment is the a big part of the problem for you currently.

  14. Hi @Hoodoo, sorry to hear of the cycle gone rogue, but yep, it appears common for CH to establish what seems like an inviolable pattern of timings for cycles and/or hits, even for ultra consistent decades on end, then suddenly out of nowhere when you least expect it, pull the old switcheroo on you. This can even go for which side you get hit on. Glad to hear it is starting to respond to the O2 and triptans again though - I too would definitely consider that a very hopeful sign. For future reference, I wouldn't be surprised if adopting the full power user O2 approach (if you haven't already) could help you still be able to abort stronger hits.

  15. It always amazes me how new drugs get through the "rigors" of approval emerging as side effect free only to find out once in "the wild" to be problematic. Confirms that money talks. On the other hand if we never had a new med to use everyone would complain the process is too cumbersome. In the end Ricardo is correct, doctors and other providers need to LISTEN when patients offer serious complaints or concerns. All medications have potential side effects especially if you are on other meds that alter your metabolism. Thanks for the info!
