Sounds to me you're on the right track. Busting made me go through all sorts of unusuals also, like shadow on my left side. Hang on, I'm certain relief is on the way. Hope you can get more vitamin M. :-)
-
firesidefun18, chances are he won't, and it seems to me you're age will only play a little role in his reaction. Be aware that no Dr can associate with this without risking professional consequences. Myself, I will meet my neuro in 2 days to get the results of my blood tests. I'm still not sure I will tell her about busting, but I think that if I do, she will react by saying she cannot see me anymore as a patient. According to your other post, you're a migraine sufferer. Are you sure busting is the best solution for you? I'm certain more experienced players (than me) can guide you better on this board. Don't be shy and do post and ask questions, start threads...

Hey MG ;-) As you may know, I'm not an English native speaker, and I often have to rely on different ways to pick up what people write and say. This is one of the tools that help me... Seems to me Moxie as a verb or as a noun doesn't have the same meaning. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=moxie
-
I think it certainly does. Bumping this thread up 'cause I'm really curious to see if there are more red hair related clusterheads. It seems to me this could be interesting to search more.

No doubt CHfather knows this board more than I do, I'm a newbie. But I was suggesting 4 days based on my own gathering of information on this board, and because Mrs Green Eyed seemed to be in a critical situation. I have read here and there on this board this period of time can be shortened as in this file available on the front page, saying: ''If you are experiencing increased activity on the third day after dosing, my guess would be that the "tolerance" period of your receptors is ending'' http://www.clusterbusters.com/theory.html My intentions are only to provide a variety of information so one can make their own decision, based on the fact that it takes time and efforts to search the board for a newcomer. My experience and knowledge of (recreative) use of psychedelics tells me this varies between individuals and is also related to dosage... I remember reading about those lab tests, but I can't recall where. I have no doubt water alone works. I think the Ph around 4 I have read on shroomery.org, not sure... is there a thread about these lab tests, CHfather? I'd love to add this to my pile of facts and oh... Mrsgrneyedldy, how are you doing?

Oh I see... true it was an article from last October they had re-vamped with new info... and we have to pay to access some archives, that's why. It's mercantile, not drugs ban related. The article is not all there... but we have it here 8-)
-
Yes, well maybe not ''are'', but ''will be'', since Alzheimer affects many people. My guess is actually that psychedelics can probably heal many ills but there is a big wall to jump: Bad news is Le Monde removed this article from their Web site, and any search for it now leads to a few esoteric sites... and here. Le Monde's search engine returns 0 result when searching ''psilocybine'' ... they had at least 2 articles just last week.:-(

I just noticed I had pasted the wrong link in this post, so I just corrected that. Hope no one thinks I'm promoting this site. I'm just relaying the good deal

8 hits? OMG !! I think YES, you should order more in a hurry, Mrsgrneyedldy. You have to take something. I suspect you don't have the strength to go through the board and gather info in other threads, so I'll try to feed you here a little (with my bias included ;-) ). I would consider you a chronic since it's been almost a year. Chronics from what I read here have a harder time busting than episodics like me. I think it's not surprising your first bust wasn't successful yet. I'm certain though it can help you, and get you PF days. You just have to keep at it, 3, 4, times... and... ...some people might not agree with what I will say here, but from the conditions you describe, I would suggest doubling the dose of RC seeds. I know you only have 50 now, but you can order and get them quick, Did you see the deal at TrancePlants? I just ordered 1000 myself just in case. http://www.clusterheadaches.com/cb/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1328479066/8 you have to send a PM, a personal message to Adam from TrancePlants so he put you on the clusterbusters list who get 25% off. They can ship very fast. He posted on that thread... to make things simpler for you, here is a link to his profile, click on the send a personal message button: http://www.clusterheadaches.com/cb/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?action=viewprofile;username=2124212D2421400 USA; Small packet USA air : 4-10 business days Expedited parcel USA: 4-8 business days with tracking number Xpresspost USA: 2-3 business days with tracking number Priority courier: 1-2 business day with tracking number Order here: http://www.tranceplants.net/product-info.php?pid141.html Do the floater test with your seeds: don't use the ones that float in a glass of water. how did you extract the LSA? I did it with orange juice at first. The PH has to be around 4 from what I heard and either (water with some) lemon juice or orange juice will do that. I extracted twice a couple of hours in the dark fridge (light and heat affect LSA), and once for 24 hours, which didn't seem to make a difference. It appears to me newbie that it used to be the norm to extract with alcohol, mostly white wine, untill people started to rely more on water, water with lemon juice or orange juice. For my 4th bust, I used vodka and peppermint tea to extract. To make a long story short, alcohol and peppermint tea (cold) apparently turns the LSA into LSH and... and I suspect this is more effective. It really felt stronger to me than my previous 3 busts, but my cycle was dying, but it's my guess it works better. Tingeling even theorized that alcohol (just that one shot) would help driving the LSA into the blood by dilatating the blood vessels. And about the amount of seeds, well the Clusterbusters recommendations was to start at 10-20 and go up from that at every bust, but I had made up my mind myself to start much higher. My last bust was with 90 seeds (the one with vodka), 90 good seeds, not floaters, soaked for 90 minutes with 1 oz of vodka and 2-3 ounces of cold strong peppermint tea, and one ounce of Orange juice. I didn't drink the seeds, how do we call that, the sludge? I had done so the other times. It was much stronger effect and almost no nausea. So maybe some other posters will temperate my suggestion, but I think you need relief fast and that you should bust with your 50 seeds Monday and then when you get your rush shipped seeds on Friday, I would take 80-90 seeds with the above extracting recipe. (from what I read, to get a psychedelic trip from RC seeds, you'd need 150-250 seeds, but with extracting in peppermint tea and /or alcohol, it could be less. I didn't exactly have a buzz with 90 seeds turned into LSH, so that's why I'm assuming this is a safe dose to take... let others react to my suggestions maybe) 4 days between each busts, sounds fair, I think you need big relief fast. Also, I don't know what other aborting method you have, I relied on Ice for the past 12 years, it's my life savior: I freeze down my neck and temple with ice cubes in a plastic bag. Also (I don't know what you have read on the board what you tried already): Coffee, strong coffee, three in a row, drank fast, or Energy drinks, like a small Red Bull can choked down in one shot. It really helps. Of course the caffeine will keep you awake. But I discovered I could sleep afternoons a few hours (like 3 to 5 hours), but never at night. Apparently the taurine in energy drinks help. I'm not sure and I thought my coffees were doing good and I dislike the taste of energy drinks, but you should try. Strong coffee, very strong!! or Energy drinks And Ice, and... I think I read that the D3 vitamin helps O2 working better, no? someone plz on this, not sure... (I don't use o2) I hope my post helps you, your situation sounds horrible and I'd like to help... PM me if you have more questions  Â

Metamina seems to be Dextroamphetamine http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metamina http://adhd-npf.com/metamina/ http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=fr&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fadhd-npf.com%2Fmetamina%2F Dextroamphetamine is a psychostimulant drug which is known to produce increased wakefulness and focus as well as decreased fatigue and decreased appetite. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dexamphetamine Wow, I'm surprised you could sleep with that. Well I guess it's in accordance with a clusterhead twisted hypothalamus/circadian rhythms... myself, the RC seeds did not make me sleepy at all. Ritalin and Celesta seem to both Methylphenidate http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methylphenidate and Adderal is a mix of four amphetamine salts http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adderal amphetamines are stimulants, so normally no sleeping help

I noticed the modify button isn't there on certain threads, on others, it's still there. As for oxygen, as I told before on another thread, the clinic where my neuro operates (a headache clinic), clearly states in the ''news'' part of their web site that o2 is now covered by the province's health care for CH sufferers; there is a tank sitting in a corner of the waiting room, but still, she didn't prescribe it to me. So after I read so many pleas for o2 here, I asked her 3 weeks ago, and she said: ''Oh well... if you really want oxygen, I could... but this is usually kept for chronics... you're episodic and not that bad... you get what? A cycle a year? And also, you're a smoker, this is not very compatible with O2. And besides, you know, o2 will only push the next attack away for an hour or so, when you're Zomig nasal spray will allow you many hours pain free. I really think the Zomig is a better solution. But again, if you insist, I can prescribe you o2.'' So... Knowing I was about to do my 2nd bust just as I returned home from her office, I didn't insist, based also on other thoughts I detailed in other threads (I'd really feel sicker seeing this tank in my room). She firmly believes in her treatment, and doesn't really believe in the virtues of O2 is my conclusion

Here's one article on that topic: http://w.baillement.com/texte-migraine-evolutionary.pdf (Not PMing it because it might be of some general interest.) What I had read was like a paragraph long and I don't have the reference, but this is a very interesting read CHfather, thank you. I will be reading this closely later as it feeds my thoughts.

oh no offence, spiny, I just suddenly found my nick very ugly, so I wiped off the digits ;-)

I don't either but have a feeling it's got nothing to do with CH. Congrats on successful bust [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

It's very interesting, I wish I had kept track of any data in the past three decades, but I haven't. I remember reading that headaches could be an ancient useful function humans had that is not useful anymore, like reactions to certain odours, compounds... and a living barometer ;D, that's useful Oh and plz don't call me 404 ... think I'll change this now

... strawberry blond, medium brown, light golden medium brown... maybe light auburn... châtain in French (chestnut?)... whatever the name for my hair colour, it's got red in it. But I tan very well (my Native genes)... I too woke up during surgery when I was 6 or 7 years old (tonsils removal, my only surgery) and I remember the flash very well, the medical crew kind of panicked seeing me waking up. I think what is interesting to (maybe) dig here is the relation there could be between CH and the red hair gene and possible link with hormones, hypothalamus, pituitary gland, hormones receptors and also obesity as the links I posted above show (maybe). Some research seem to find a link between red hair people and obesity... well since it would be the exact contrary for clusterheads (no obese people here, is there? I'm very skinny myself), I see a link. I wish I had better understanding of the brain and the chemicals mixture in our body... but it's my feeling that the brain and endocrine specialists' precious findings can say more than they seem to say plainly if we gather various info like CH, LSD-psilocybin, genes, red hair, skinny, hypothalamus, perceptions and reality... all together in a pot and look at it with yet another perspective. I lived through such special times with CH for soooo long, I always thought in some way it gave me some... advantage? maybe not, but at least a unique knowing that other people did not have. People had no idea of the pain level... It was just that. I never really gave it a second thought. But coming here to these boards this year and finding I was not alone brings these thoughts upfront, and I'm finding more and more that us clusterheads are special and have many things in common. I see less and less CH as an illness that can be cured. I think I see it more like a state reached, a sign that we're different, something to control and deal with, not something to kill out like a virus or a bacteria or even compensate like insulin defficiency. (It's not because I have CH I reach another perception, it's because I reached yet another stage of perception that CH appears, kind of a corollary). Where I went in so many waves of Kip 9-10 CH attack I lived through, no other humans went. Only other clusterheads. I find it fascinating and want to dig further. I think the question asked by this thread is much more interesting than it might appear at first sight... unless tons of us claim to have no link with red hair, which is not the case so far. Oh a futile sounding post like this had to get me going LOL I always seemed to go off rails in my life, but in the end I'm still going forward. It's only a perception people have they should open doors heheÂ
-
Oh :-? ... I never noticed that; I don't notice barometer variations... so would it mean those living where there are less barometric variations get less CH? I don't know much about weather mechanisms, but I think we go through a lot of barometric variations up here.
-
I think it's interesting. Not sure how to call the colour of my hair and body hair... it's a mix and there is definitely red in there. When the setting sun hits some way, I look like a red head. I'm not sure how exactly yet, but I have a feeling there could be a link... so far those who responded do have some red hair... http://books.google.ca/books?id=Je9QTWRH6s8C&pg=PA65&lpg=PA65&dq=red-hair+hypothalamus&source=bl&ots=_4U_9VWa_I&sig=aabzfjP9sjdsWG-s9gnNJ_rE0bU&hl=fr&sa=X&ei=LDdGT8TrBqjA0AHi1JW1Dg&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=red-hair%20hypothalamus&f=false However, in many red headed people, and other people who do not tan well, there are variations in their hormone receptors, (...) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melanocyte-stimulating_hormone http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?pid=S0004-27302009000200002&script=sci_arttext Food for thoughts, maybe ;-)

Happy birthday Michael and wooo hooo !!! to you posting... but I understand you very well not wanting to spend time on here. Go out and live !!! well as much as you can grab good times anyways :-)

Hang in there mrsgrn, and I sure hope your seeds will come in. I remember when the mailwoman rang the door bell... that was a cool bell sound. You're not through yet, but it's not far away. Meanwhile, have you tried ice? It's always a good relief for me. Good thing you have o2 keep posting

Wooooo Hoooo LOL, I hadn't noticed

Thank you everyone, I really appreciate, and I'm happy my birthday was an opportunity to see who started this, although I'm still short of some info about history of the group and who is who exactly... remember reading about it but it didn't seem very important. I have time to recap now that I'm PF. Will try to gather $$ and get a passport and maybe go to Vegas in sept.... or dream about it.

My CH changed over the years, longer stretches between cycles but longer cycles, but most these changes occurred many years ago. These past years I notice pain shifting, leaving my eye PF, but intensity of pain increasing in the neck. The pain in the eye re-appeared as I was busting for the first time, but light. Also noticed I get shadows on the left side too, that's been increasing these past years. So I'd say no uptick on my side, just slight changes

New to the site. Thanks for all the help already!

True. Besides, using wisdom will probably help Clusterbusters gaining credibility as a research group. Did I understand well CB is a research group? Am I a researcher? LOL ahem, serious now [smiley=engel017.gif] Oh I'm absolutely certain acupuncture works, my mother has been using it for 30 years successfully for many health problems, and she takes good care reminding her doctors and specialists she has cut down her med and seen her acupuncturist. After so many years, they're starting to admit to her the needles maybe are helping... Hell yes they are, would it be only placebo, it obviously works. But I was seeing an acupuncturist for other things some years ago myself... she said she new CH as I came in with shadow 3 for regular session. She swore she could... Naaaaw, she couldn't. Not at all. At least 2 sessions if not 3. CH is special... and she's the one who had strongly suggested I stop using ice, as chinese medecine she said had found out 2000 years ago any radical cold treatment being very bad. No ice? are you out of your mind? It's a totally different protocol system, but Chinese medecine is as stiff as ours it seems. Â
