No one ever really understands. I'm Hipshot's wife and supporter. He's had these things for 7 years and taken every drug known and several surgeries. We went to the clusterbuster convention in Portland this summer and were asked to speak and tell our story. I sent a copy of the speech to his Mother and she said, "Dan, I had no idea what you've been going through" She still probably doesn't really understand the pain level, but she does have a better idea of what he's been through.

Dan is doing great. Thanks for asking about him. He is now on the board as Hipshot. For the longest time, I couldn't get him on here and now I can't get him off. I think we may have to buy another computer.

Dan, the reason you barfed was because you were using lidocaine drops in your nose. Those always made you nauseous and especially out in the middle of the lake and in the hot sun. The boat situation is probably one of the scariest I can remember. The boat ramp was absolutely packed and there was no way I could back that trailer without hitting something. Thinking back on it, I should have just asked someone to help, but when you are in a situation like that, you just don't want to be around people who have no idea what the heck is going on. They might think we are wacko. :-[

Hi Donald, Welcome aboard. I remember my husband's first attack 7 years ago. He woke up in the middle of the night with a screaming headache. I do not remember if it was post-coital. :-/ Probably not. He thought for years that it was a neck problem as he had had problems with his neck in the past. Yes, he has always been this way. Very clever with words. I assigned him a task to write a song during the doses, he may well be on to something. Now if I can just get him to write the music to go with the words. It could be the Clusterbusters theme song.
