johnny
Johnny, how did you figure it out? And thank gawd you did! Doctors told me I had migraines for 17 yrs and I believed them till a doc told me I had CH. I had never heard of it. That was just a few years ago. After that, it made complete sense, I was pissed! Hell, Im still pissed. I wonder how many women are misdiagnosed cuz they think we're pussies. (sorry bout the crassness) my family doctor told me it was possible that i may have clusterheadaches when i was younger but never officially said alright this is what you have. as far as pussies go i'm absolutely terrified of getting into a cycle. the hardest thing about going 4 to 6 years between cycles is that your never really prepared when they come. the best thing about it is having others like me or you to compare stories and strategies. i don't try to steer people away from going to see a doctor but for me living 60 miles from a nuero it just easier for me to deal with this without fighting insurance companies or experimenting with pharmaceutical meds. johnny
TxClusterHead: I used to live in Arlington for 6 yrs. Lived by the intersection of Collins and Lamar. I remember my exit looped around and it was like a mile long. Crazy! if you took rt 80 off the big loop on the dallas side and took it east to collins rd and went south before you go over the ig bridge that goes over the rr tracks look to the left and youll see a bunch of heavy equipment and semi trucks parked there. i used ti drive a truck for those guys. S&H pacer out of mesquite. now they are called S&H universal. heres some pics of the truck i drove heres a pic of one of their handsome drivers with his truck lol
raquelinkansas
Johnny, these pics are awesome! Your truck looks cool. I work for a trucking company and our trucks look and run like shit! lmao! My cycles used to be pretty random, not as far apart as yours. They seem to come every year now. I didnt seek any meds from a doc this time. I think I am done with all that. I am sold on the "alternatives."
johnny
i took that pic of me in front of the truck when i was coming back from LA in route to denver. it was out in the middle of utah thanksgiving day. heres anther picture i took that day the truck was equipped with a peoplenet computer that showed your speed and fuel consumption. i rolled off one of those hills @ 103 mph according to the peoplenet computer. in the good ole days of mechanical speedometers the needle would come on around passed the face numbers and end up pointing to the numbers on the odometer. the electronic speedo's would stop a little bit passed what they where registered for. out in the desert on those long wide swooping hills 103 doesn't feel any differant than 70 or 80. that truck was allot of fun to drive and pulling a stepdeck it stuck to the ground like a magnet 8-)
shaggyparasol
Yes Jay, I agree that Johnny looks hot out in front of the man-truck. I concur Johnny about doctors and doctor visits. Never saw one, don't intend to. Don't have enough cash to throw away at that world even with my crappy insurance. 26 years into my CH experience and super successful psilocybe busting is good enough for me. Thanks for the update Raquel. I am always curious about people's success with different techniques and the more we share the more info we can pass along to others. Prozac and busting ey? Maybe we should start a thread of people's experiences on that medicine and the seeds?? Wonder if anyone else is having the same experience?? Also be interesting to see (for you, I am not prying) whether you can skip the prozac once you successfully bust. Or if you could do it before for a more successful bust?? Either way, check carefully into the psilocybe use with various conditions. There are times when the mushrooms are supposed to make certain conditions worse. > Have a nice cluster-free day people! --Shaggy
tingeling
About busting and OCD. I don`t know if i had it, but some tendencies at least. I don`t know if it dissappeard because busting helped me moving on from things i didn`t want to remember, and the tendencies left with that solved. But what i do know, is that i don`t have the tendencies anymore
raquelinkansas
Johnny, u r a true "true trucker." Sounds like u love it. Does diesel run in your veins? I think Jay and Shaggy are just messing with ya. Its all good. Tingleing, that is good to hear. So glad you chimed in. Thats what I got is OCD. When I dont take Prozac I get a lil obsessive. Well, more than a little. Bob sent me a couple of links that showed it might help OCD, but I am just terrified to quit taking it. I am gonna see if my shrink can lower me from 20s to 10s. I read on the "faq" page that mushrooms are not blocked by Prozac so think I need to take the next step. PF wishes! Rock
raquelinkansas
Dave-O, how are you doing? Update please!
Dave O
Raquel, I/m doing OK right now I seem to be between cycles...Thank God!!!. Can't log on all the time, Big Brother @ work blocks this site...What a bunch of Crap. Have to wait to get home to see all the goings on. Man look at all the great people sharing stories, and busts. I found the potency comparisons very helpful. i went on line to check all the strains available and was going to ask what anyone thought was the best "Bang" for the buck. Think I'll look some more and try to find all the info on what to grow these in and where to set up in the house...if I choose to do that. Got 7 year old twins running around here and might not be cool. might check with a friend down the road see if he's cool with this. Right now just chillin and taking those Caffine meds, seem to be working!!! Thanks for checking.
TXClusterHead
Update please! That's a good question, how are you doing Raquel? You're always so nice checking on everyone else, how are you?
raquelinkansas
Dave-O, dude, I can believe your job blocks this site! What a bunch of crap! I so get on here at lunch, and other times while i'm working. lol. Block porn, block FaceBook, but for god sakes, dont block ClusterBusters! I guess I could have PM'd ya but I figured people wanna know how your doing and now they know. ;D I am gonna check on the potency too, on the shrooms. I had a feeling it was like that. Havent done them yet, inexperienced, but I think I am gonna try a lil growing soon to see if I can pull it off. Sounds like they are the way to go. As far as your kids and having them in the house, I know, its a tough call. My daughter is 14. I dont think she would mess with them but my plan is to lock my room up when I leave. I know what you mean tho, you just dont want it in the house because its illegal and all we are trying to do is relieve our pain. Sux. TxCH, i'm doing good. When is your shroom kit gonna arrive? Hows your head?
TXClusterHead
Wooooooo, hooooooooo, it finally arrived! Now to become an amateur mycologist! Head is starting to get a little better. Had one this morning but it was about a kip 2 to a kip 3, nothing I can't handle. I now that my little box of hope has arrived, I'm hoping to put an end to those suckers as well! raquelinkansas
TxCH, Box of hope is right! WOOT WOOT! Thats grrreat! Sweet niblets! lol. What kind are you going to grow? Was gonna order the mycobag bust I just read on here its a piece of shit. Glad you gotta a break from the hard hits!
TXClusterHead
Well, before I even heard of clusterbusters, I read online about busting through various weblinks and articles. I found this link http://www.clusterheadaches.com/wwwboard/messages/74162.html and basically just started reading the article and just went with the strain it suggested, PC Thailand - Koh Samui, because it said it was a very fast producer. I was like, heck, I'm all about the faster I can get it to grow because none us want to deal with these headaches any longer than we have to. I'm kind of in the same boat you're in, never busted before, never grown before, so I've been doing my homework trying to make sure I get everything right the first time because lets face it, none of us want to go through the hassle of having to purchase this stuff and then mess it up and then have it do all over again and as long as I waited the first time for my kit, believe me, I don't want to wait around for a second time on a second kit and in this economy, who has money to be wasting on a failed first attempt anyway, know what I mean. I know that it's a distinct possibility, but I trying my damnest to make sure it doesn't happen. I'm even waiting till this weekend so that I can give everything its proper sterlization and wipe down which I know will take some time and I'm not going to rush it. I'll just wait till Saturday so that I can take my time, get it right, and again, so I don't f' it up.
Dave O
Hey TX let us all know how that goes. Good news, I still have peeps who know where to find the Cilli's..yeah. But still going to work on having my own harvest when I need. These peeps tell the shrooms are"Seasonal"...What?this stuff grows in the dark how can it be seasonal, maybe that's just when they show up here in the Rockies, probably during Reds Rocks concert season when Phish and the "Further" festival rolls thru town. Don't remember who's site I read but they were talking about dosing and listening to Floyd or Beach Boys...Seriously the Beach Boys????? Try some "Grateful Dead"!!!! Tripped at every show I saw and LOVED it. Now I/m just rambling, check in later.
raquelinkansas
Glad you can get the shrooms Dave-O. Hell, I wud pick the wrong damn thing and poison myself. TxCH, I know, everthing is so expensive. Heres to succesful growing. Cheers. (man I miss alcohol)
TXClusterHead
Thanks for the well wishes Dave-O! I miss alcohol too Rock. What I wouldn't give for a shot of of patron right now or an ice cold glass of stella artois or blue moon. Shit, I'd takes Coors, just about anything right now if I could! Dave O
Hey anybody out there can help me with a question? If I do find some shrooms...do they have a "Shelf Life"? Can I freeze these till I need them, or is it best to cultivate my own and keep em fresh?
Dallas Denny
Hi Dave, They do have a fairly short "shelf life" when fresh.......just fan dry them for a few days and then finish them off in a drying chamber with some DampRid til they are "cracker dry" (they should break like a match stick when you try to bend them). After they're dry, you can put them in a glass canning jar with a small tyvek packet of DampRid and then put the jar in the freezer if you want.....I just pull an old sock over the jar and put it in one of my dresser drawers. Arde
I recall reading, pre internet, about mushrooms being tested after being stored in a museum for 25 years, and still containing psylosibin. Didn't say if it was trace amounts or what. Offhand I would guess that it's a fairly stable chemical.
Dave O
Hey DD thanks for the tips, sounds good. I can come up with the stuff you suggested.Might be like a squirrel and stock up for winter. Had a bad night last night, didn't take my meds and woke up @ 4:oo with a slammer. I know I'm not chronic but I use "preventive " meds and sleep OK, and can get thru the day. I read a lot of the other cases and feel so bad for the people who are dealing with this everyday...Wish you all the BEST. Feel kinda bad getting all the help and responses from everyone when I'm only sporadic, but I know when I' get in the middle of of a full blown CH cycle I will be ready, and who's got my back. Thanks to all of you for input and advice.
birdman
Yes, I couldn't imagine anything worse then being chronic. But never feel guilty about the help you receive. Sometimes seeing others succeed helps others get through a day. Best pain free wishes.
Bonkers
A wise man once told me that at times the only way he can get through the day is by helping someone else get through theirs.

tingeling
Hi Dave Don`t feel bad. To be able to try help, is something that is to great help for us all i think. It`s pretty easy to get a bit, or actually extremely self-centred, having a chronic disease. So spending time trying to reach others in a pretty extreme phase in life, and to follow how life change, that is something to be grateful to And being a chronic, in a way, i turn it around and i`m thinking that in a way, it must be harder being a periodic. I know what to "expect", and can adjust life after that, following a trail to make things work. A periodic, i have thought at least, it must be kind a chaos feeling each time. Happy you`re here
