  2. I think my statement stands on its' own validity. 'Gang' means everyone - you included. It is not because I do or do not believe in your method. I have not tried and have no opinion at all. As a treatment, it works for you. And may for others. I support any treatment that is not harmful and helps anyone with CH. It is your rude responses that are the problem. And assumptions you are making as well.

  3. You are threatening your own thread. I have not challenged you or been involved. How is this response warranted? This is not Social Media. Nor is it a 'club'.

  4. I am not a big coffee drinker since I have gotten older. I used to be able to have a cup of joe on my way to bed at night and sleep quite soundly. Today, if I have coffee at 4 or 5pm, it will keep me up past my target of 10pm. However, If I am being hit, caffeine in my system does not impair my sleeping. No matter if I need it at 6pm or 2am. The Melatonin can be taken at higher doses. I use 30mg in high cycle every night. I read somewhere that you should limit it to 25mg. I do no recommend taking Benadryl and Melatonin at the same time unless your are accustomed to it. It will make you very groggy if you do have to get up. So, you could up that dose quite a bit if it helps. Benadryl is now part of the D3 Regimen - 25 to 50mg at night. That helps reduce histamine production. Once you are accustomed to the Melatonin, then add the Benadryl at one pill for starters. Another strategy is to take the Melatonin in 2 doses. 15mg at bedtime and another when I get up for a hit. Using this method is how I arrived at my dosing schedule that worked best for me. I just tinkered until I found the best result for me. As for looking at my feet - Yes. I sit and rock and just relax my neck and use an old Kung Fu directive - Look Forward, See Nothing. In other words, don't focus on anything. Focus, on anything but breathing, makes the hit worse for me. Like trying to listen to a kind relative who wants to try distract me by talking -no response required. Focusing on words jacked the kid right on up there. For me, letting go of 'focusing' on anything helps kill the hit. My breathing tracks more true with this method - hard and fast for starters with deep hard exhales - sharp deep inhales is how I start. Then as the pain receds I slow my breathing until I find my sweet spot ans stay there until the pain is gone. I maintain my breathing pattern and lower the flow as I go. As the pain goes, so does the drive for deep breathing. At the end, I take 30 breaths at normal rate and depth as my post time. This works - for me.

  5. I have feared the empty tank for years. Also, it made me a bit nuts when it was empty. However, there is a way to get some more O2 out of the welding tanks at least. Without the regulator, open the valve. I always hear a lot of O2 coming out with the regulator removed. In fear of running out one night, I took two garbage bags and set up a redneck bag. Just a garbage bag with a corner cut off to slip in the top and shoulder of a 2 liter bottle that I cut off. Then tape up the bottom so the bag is sealed except for the bottle opening. I held the opening of the two liter to the output of the tank and filled the garbage bag. It easily filled three bags with O2 left over. Those fluffy bags were waiting for me when I needed them. The bags do leak, so you may need to top them up so they last over a day. ATB!

  6. CHF , you are spot on about Dr Kudrow and family. I was his patient in the early 80's, I don't remember anything about feet, but he did slap an O2 mask on me , to abort the hit in his office. I find it amazing to meet a CHer who managed med school and residency , he had a young neuro working with him who was chronic. When I'm in cycle, tying my shoes is tough.

  8. There you go using the “C” word. Again, unfortunately you don’t learn. You didn’t cure anything, you eliminated a trigger for yourself. Your brain is just as fed up as ours, may be more. That’s great you found your major trigger. But. Triggers change, not everyone has the same triggers. keep in mind this is a site about busting, over the years people have added other helpful things, but this isn’t ch.com. So when you start posting about a “cure” and refuse to stop using the word you really offend people here! God knows we all want a cure but what you found is no cure. Even though (to the best of my knowledge) @Psiloscribe Has not had a CH in years he doses 2x a year but would NEVER say he has a cure! Same goes for @Batch with his amazing (data driven!!!) results with his vitamin D protocol would never have the bravado to claim a “cure”. You are in a site that was created specifically for busting, as a separate site from CH.com for the purposes of sharing knowledge about the use of psychedelics to treat (NOT CURE) CH. so when you come here saying you have a cure, don’t want to hear anything about busting, and still claim you’ve cured yourself. I again think you need to do a quick search (upper right of your screen) for “cure” start with the oldest posts first and work your way up to your cure...

  10. No thanks, I’ll stick w busting, “fat people” not so nice. Very tactful I see. In my experience with busting and CH people they stick to it if it works for them. Busting doesn’t address triggers. It goes to the root cause. And like several people have told you your addressing a particular trigger for you. Please refrain from being rude!

  11. This seems to address your triggers. Not for every one. But an accepted proven method of treatment is busting and BOF is pain free due to it. So what is there to be gained is my point.

  12. ...anyone walking around a corner and catching me trying to abort a hit with O2 woulda said: "Jon, why are you staring at your feet?".... ….now, the only thing I know about physiology was learned from Playboy (circa the 60's)...so this is just ME sayin what worked for ME: In this position it was easier to breath; slow ,fast, however I wanted.....also seemed to allow for drainage (sumtimes ) of my congested nose and the breathing easier thing....then, of course, was convenience to the spit bucket..... always kept around as ona my symptoms was a gusher of spit I couldn't possibly swallow fast enough (added benefit is that'll gross an observer out enough to get 'em to leave you alone.)......lastly, it kept me a little bit "under control" in a calming position sense.... to help avoid the dreaded thrashing and screaming and pacing...…..it all became a very distinct routine......YMMV Edited to add...nowhere did I say ROCKING in this position is not allowed....doing it right now out of habit....

  13. Bots are the reason we try our best to keep all references to some treatments in the closed threads. And why we move them. Google grabs them all and when someone does a search for one, our page comes up because a certain word was used. It is hunting for those things. Also why replies are limited when they are on a public thread or forum. Once it hits the ether, it is gone. They run non-stop and they are legion!!!!

  14. I've been on a paleo "diet" for almost a year. I did this to combat the "early stages" of Rhuematoid Arthritis (RA). I just visited my rheumatologist who confirmed my blood no longer has enough inflammation in my body to show up as being positive RA. My first thought was "Eff you a$$hole, why didn't YOU suggest changing my diet?" Thanks to my wife's diligence, we took control of my care. This quack outlined a treatment plan that included a lifetime of methotrexate. Excuse the rant, I still have clusters.

  15. It seems like a loaded question. Simple answer is, you don’t need to bust anything if they don’t happen. The same way fat people can’t stick with the diet to lose weight is the same exact thing that I’ve noticed about cluster headache victims. They just can’t stick to a diet and I damn sure can’t give up fixes that they know in the long term is going to hurt him re-read my thread that I reposted
