And, I saw John live for the 1st time at the Boomer theater in Norman, Okla across the street from the OU campus in 1980. This was at a time when I was cultivating vitamin M for other reasons as the Beast hadn't reared his ugly head yet! I ate a LOT of it, got in my vdub bug and drove from far NW Okla City to Norman....good God Gerty, what a ride!! When the concert started, John and his band and crew just walked down the aisles and he stopped repeatedly to shake hands and bs with folks!! At the end of the show all of the crew came out on stage with the band, got in a line with their arms linked and swayed along with the music as JP and company closed with Illegal Smile!! Ya cudn't have wiped the Illegal smile off my face with industrial strength ajax!! Lmao!

Yer a smart man! Lmao! She has several different cuts on YouTube....although it isn't a genre that I would normally listen to, this one is really good, she has a cool solo in it, she really shows off how good lookin she is....and shit the bed Loretta, does that girl ever have some legs!! Ray Charles is one of my heroes as well....I'm a die hard classic country music fan so really got to know him when he started recording country songs and then he did the album with Willie Nelson whose another idol if mine and I fell in love with his style!! Like Willie, his timing was uniquely his!

Being CHH does suck but like Jon said it is more like high and low cycles within it. I am stuck in a higher cycle at the moment and it really blows. Going through 02 tanks like they are goin out of style and due to some sort of oxygen shortage in this area I was just limited to what I can get refilled so a little added pressure and panic is starting to set in. Sticking with 02, 5hr drinks and Frankincense oil on the roof of my mouth and hopping that this ends soon. On the up side I do not have to sit around dreading any certain moth or time of year when the hits are going to start coming. I have the joy of knowing I am going to get hit in the side of the head with a brick every day!

@jon019 John Prine is another favorite of mine!! I have his anthology 2 cd set which is a Sunday morning ritual!! So many funny songs and JP was one of the best finger pickers I've ever heard....when it comes to his songs it's all but impossible for me to pick a fav!

...."How Blue Can You Get?" gets me every time...reminds of Prine for funny great music... ...2005 Texas tour...favor for the fans. Mick does country wonderfully, even tho a bit of a put-on...."Girl With Faraway Eyes" a fav. i thot so too....glad to hear the regard for Ronnie on steel from someone who would know....

Gotta agree with ya @jon019, I've been a BB fan for many,many years.....love "Why I Sing the Blues" Any idea how.old that Stones cut is? I've never heard it before but it's pretty damned cool!! Hell of a job on the steel!

...just note that chronic does not necessarily mean constant or increased number of hits. my experience: 23 yrs ECH (5-8 wks on/off), then 12+ CCH with high and low cycles within that. hit times were unpredictable with 0-3/dy. intensity less, aborts (mainly O2/energy drinks) worked better. still "twilight zone" but different episode. use the same tools you are learning....be willing to adjust. ...to answer your original question. there were several of the past few yrs where the shadow was near constant, because a hit is rare i actually got almost used to it....no choice as caffeine/O2/ginger no help). i'd zoot a zomig ns every once in a while when it got tiring....
