  1. After 23 years of CH the only thing I know at this point is that it's over if I can make it to the third day PF. Never had more than about 48 hours between hits.

  2. So true. It is well known for it's ability to morph and confuse/anger us. Makes it doubly hard to stay ahead or be mentally prepared for the changes it will throw out. Which is why you see so many trying to stay at least even with the changes! Getting out in front is truly a miracle. Sort of reminds me of how many scientists will attack a huge health problem for the world, they seem to go at it from many angles at once. I feel that is what our community does with CH. You may get a lot of duds, but always, something will stick and it mostly makes you scratch your head and wonder. Then the hole digging begins to try to figure out why or how X truly helps.

  3. I have to second this comment as I have only ever had 2 days clear max when in cycle so maybe we do have a indicator here

  4. I just thought I would share this as it has made my life easier. Like many on here I am on the D3 regimen which is about 6 bottles to pull out every evening. Additionally I am on verapamil, COQ10 and ginger capsules. I have found that you can purchase little plastic bags and package up your supplements and medication so it's just one grab from the medicine cabinet

  5. Yeah it’s just slow getting up but no terror or anything like that. It’s just my brain doesn’t seem to be connecting to my body or something. Very strange. oh that’s interesting, it’s twice atm. 40mg. Back when I was first diagnosed I was prescribed it and it worked (not sure on dose) and then one year it just didn’t work. The GP has referred to notes from Neuro so if it’s not working I will see if we can try your suggestion. you would think after all this time I’d have them figured out. Just seems like you get on top of them and then they change.

  8. Yes. I use it for shadowing. And to hold off a possible hit when changing elevation. It may not prevent the hit, but it will help hold it off for a bit. That is important when traveling on a two lane road up a mountain. There are many ways to take it, easy to transport, and basically no questions asked if you pop a piece in your mouth on the way home Well, expect for 'May I have a piece?' Isn't it amazing that something so simple as ginger can be a huge help for a Cher? It is to me. It seems that the more we know, the more we find that Mother Nature provides pretty darn well for us as a group: MM, seeds, ginger, O2, caffeine. No pharma there.

  9. Ginger, in any form, can help your CH. I use ginger chews for shadows. They are pure ginger with sugar on the outside. You can use pills, candy, tea, any will help. The higher the ginger content, the better! Helps with hits and shadows.

  10. Suicide Headache is the one! I'm always begging to be put out of my misery when I hit #10 of a CH. Feels like the brink of death, but then you live through it! Unbelievable what the human body can endure!
