  1. LOL the surgery is no joke but that anesthesia is a comedy inducing goldmine! ;D
  2. It sure sounds to me like you've diligently optimized your approach to O2 (when resorting to trex I too find the 1/2 dose to be best BTW). Besides staying on the O2 for a good while after the attack is aborted, an energy drink/shot at onset is also known to help the abort from the O2 last longer for some CH'ers in cases like this, where instead of being hit every 1.5 hours, several hours between hits can be had. Granted, an energy drink can be a hell of a thing to consume at 2 AM though. If it were me I know I'd be actively pursuing the fungus at this point if possible (I may be biased, because RC did stop working for me at one point when a CH episode was about to come on strong, at which time I switched to fungus and it worked. I haven't tried paper just yet, but I'm seriously considering it for the next bust). Sorry I don't know what to think about the D3, since on one hand you're right at the tipping point where it would be most likely to kick in and start helping, but you're also concerned this could be a rare case where D3 might be actually working against you. I suppose I would stay on it for a little while longer but it's a tuff call for sure. :-?
  3. What Spiny said about adding an energy drink to help the O2 become more effective right at onset. Plus just in case you're not aware of the partial dose imitrex injection approach yet, it sure can cut down on side effect/rebound risk not to mention cost and supply issues. 4. For those lighter rogues I really value having an extra strength energy shot in my pocket, although I can imagine that even the quick second it takes to knock one back could be a little er...conspicuous and weird right when teaching. Not to mention you might start talking too fast. I was recently crammed into a middle seat in the back of one of those "packed liked sardines" budget flights, and by the 4th hour in the air, 'ol rogue hit McJohnny Beast popped in for a lil' visit. Right as I was talking to the guy next to me I whipped that "energy 2000" shot out toot sweet believe me and was seriously relieved at how fast it provided an abort. Not that I didn't have an imitrex inhaler in the other pocket as a last resort in case the visit was higher on the richter scale. Thankfully haven't had to use one of those or excuse myself to the airplane lavatory for an injection in a long time thanks to bustin'.Â
  5. Ain't that the truth! Kudos to Kage.
  6. That is REALLY good to hear - it's stuff like that that really keeps the spirits up around here. Well it keeps my spirits up anyway.Â
  7. Second...surgery....that is a most unwelcome development. She'll be in our thoughts indeed - please let this one be the final, with a quick recovery.
  8. With a level 9 or 10 hit not responding to anything non toxic , well for better or worse I can guarantee you I would've whipped out that imitrex too. By hook or by crook with RC, fungi or tabs you'll bust this thing - sorry the beast is putting up such a fight right now. Hopefully this is his death throes.
  9. YAY. [smiley=thumbup.gif] And please keep in mind that it's more effective to bust when in remission than when in the midst of an episode, so busting before a next expected episode could be a good idea. 8-)
  10. Glad to see Purp that you've quickly grasped how things are so often rationally sorted out around here.  8-) And very glad for Tucker's sake to see CHf jumped in!Â
  11. Sounds to me like the busting is likely responsible for at least your fantastic new zero migraines factor. It sure seems like chronic CH'ers often have to slug it out longer with the demon before the war can be won (or at least the demon can be very much tamed), but you are racking up some serious victories here. Looking forward to the day when you plant the Moxie victory flag in the the heart of the dead and conquered demon. ;D
  12. Just checkin' - all 90 of the seeds floated? or does that mean they all passed the float test because they didn't float? I'd say yes, because IMO it's always good, if possible, to have mushrooms handy for a backup so they'll be there for immediate use if plan A just doesn't do the trick as hoped.
  13. Auughhhh now you've put that idea in my head and next time I bust I'm afraid I'll go on a gnomicidal rampage!Â
  14. I would NOT want to be that medical professional! :o
  15. To quote Dallas Denny: "Yeee Fecking Hawwww!!"
  16. OK the title of this topic was a brazen exaggeration and distortion to garner attention, but...there is a recent Johns Hopkins study where they found "a single dose of psilocybin prompted an enduring but positive personality change in almost 60 percent of patients". This is a side benefit of busting with mushrooms many of us have confirmed first hand and is actually something I'm starting to think may be worth taking into account when deciding which busting agent to use. Weird how for me the psilocybin trip itself can be negative, with anxiety and junk, but the after effects on mood and outlook are all positive. Exorcising of demons??!! A link to an article on the Johns Hopkins psilocybin study: http://yourlife.usatoday.com/health/story/2011-09-29/Magic-mushroom-drug-may-improve-personality-long-term/50602264/1 Apologies if this study has been covered elsewhere here and I missed it. [Edit] Oh. Just now got to this part towards the bottom of the artice: "we know that, shockingly, all the time people who use mushrooms recreationally sometimes end up getting into accidents or engage in homicidal behavior or suicide." Wha? Homicidal? I hadn't heard this before.....?
  17. As a humorist, but also a political commentator and lightning rod, I think Bill Maher is someone I should resist commenting on (do I love him, hate him, or somewhere in between, you'll never know!), because I believe political hot button stuff can divide us CH'ers and supporters, make us angry at each other, and it's important to avoid that. I've seen that CH'ers come from all sides of the political spectrum. So, while realizing this particular Bill Maher video is only about 5% politically themed, is "on topic" here regarding hallucinogens, and is chock full o' funny things, I'd just like to suggest we tread carefully with our own political commentary on the forum in order to keep the Need For a Laugh thread funny and stay united on the subject of CH through this time of deep political divisions in the US.
  18. Thanks - we'll be following that closely for sure. Meantime I hope it's safe to assume Mystina has been able to retain her *special* sense of humor through this and is unleashing it upon the hospital staff.Â
  19. OK I'll admit it was me who PM'd CHf several times and ordered him to shut the f***ing feck up and go f*** himself! Not really - I actually value (and rely upon) his and the rest of y'all's contributions tremendously. But wait a minute Blueballs - I'm ready to go into full on flame war mode with you over your comment about communication being 95% visual! What about tone of voice used??!! Dog dangit my tone of voice can't be heard and now it may not be evident that I'm just attempting to joke around and crap here. Ah well at least we got some emoticons. ;D
  20. Yeeeee Feckin Hawwww is right LOL! Incredible to see the dream becoming reality like that. Now I want one. Gimme. ;D Does Mike only build 'em in Oklahoma? Not that there's anything wrong with Oklahoma, especially in your nice wooded area where I'm sure the impending springtime is going to be a real eye popper. In a non CH kind of way that is.   [smiley=thumbup.gif] Sawing logs - I'm pretty sure that must mean she's sleeping, although in this case I suppose it could mean she's actually helping with the construction! ;D
  21. Not at all happy to learn Mystina has had to go into the hospital for surgery! > She is well loved here and a super important part of this community to be certain, so the good vibes will definitely be flowing to her by the metric tonload. Please get well VERY soon Mystina. Thanks Kagemorou for notifyin' us. We've heard a bit about you and know you're a good guy. 8-)
  22. Hey Tuck, While you're prepping for that next RC dose, just as a back up plan I concur with Jeff that you might want to start looking into whether you could locate any mushrooms. Seems that for some of us RC works best, then some of us find mushrooms or tabs do the trick more effectively than RC. Can be a bit of trial and error involved I'm afraid.
  23. YAYYY! [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif] That's un-freekin-believably fantastic. 'Scuse me for a sec now while I lead the stadium in a cheer here: [move]Viatmin M!  Viatmin M!  Viatmin M!   Viatmin M!  Viatmin M!Viatmin M!  Viatmin M!  Viatmin M! Viatmin M!  Viatmin M!  Viatmin M! [/move]
  24. I salute your adoption of the Moxiness for your message board moniker Renee As far as I'm concerned, moxy just equals, well...moxy. No other term or body parts need to be associated with it. 8-)
