Brandon, Welcome! Try to stay away from it if you can. I took it for 4 years. I just quit taking it a couple of months ago and have vowed never to get back on it. It does not make any difference. Cycles will still come. Also, if you quit taking it a cycle will start up. I think it actually made my cycles more frequent. Its just scary. I think it makes some people worse off. There needs to be more studies on this drug for CH treatment, I don't think I have heard anything positive about it on this board. Seeds and Mushies are the way to go, I see them as a gift now, from mother nature. Scripts, for me personally dont work for long, if at all.

Yury66, that sux! I dont know anything about verap. I am new to busting but maybe you should order some seeds till you get your garden going. I used Hawaian Baby Woodrose seeds (Hawaian strain) and it cut my pain in half. I finally busted completely after taking 7. That was my magic number. I kept increasing the amount till I got it right but my pain was literally cut in half after my second dose. Alot of people use the RC seeds, they are easier to use. Jeff, I had that nerve twitch too, right in the eyebrow where the CH would be. It would just spaz out while I was working. Oh, and your not over-reacting. Becoming chronic is a huge fear for us that are eposodic. I totally get it!

Hi SmokeY and welcome! I agree with Carl. I have had more sucess dosing one a week. I used seeds though. I think you will find ClusterBusting is the way to go for your intractable migraines. Jeff, I think the Topamax is jacking your cycle all up. I detoxed from Topamax during this last cycle I had. My cycle lasted longer than ever. Two months! I am usually a four-six weeks person. Like you, I started thinking, Jesus, am I going chronic?! Anyways, I dont even think the Topamax was doing any good anyways. Still got a cycle every year and if I quit taking the shit for a few days a cycle would come. I am so done with that shit, never gonna get back on it! I didnt taper off like you, I just quit it cold turkey, I was only on 50 mgs a day. All it does is make you dependant on it and doesnt block shit! Damn I sound like a pissed off bitch! ;D

What a great thread! It sux that you guys have that "touch thing" but atleast you guys have each other and know your not crazy. This place is the BEST! I definately think the exercises work. I have completely busted now, if I feel a twinge, I stretch my jaw, twinge gone. It works out the soreness, which relieves stress. I dont have TMJ, just a massive clencher while sleeping, I am so glad Jeff posted this, it might not work for everyone, but it helps me and I feel it is related but like Jay says, why does O2 work? I have never had sucess with oxy BUT didnt have the proper equipment. Its still just a big friggin mystery! Hell, we will have this figured out before the docs do! We are already doing a better job with ClusterBusting! Which is in my opinion, better than meds. I am just thankful for all of you guys ahead of me that have passed all this info down! Great question! This is gonna be an interesting thread. I dont have a doc so cant answer the question. However, contemplating telling my shrink (county shrink, based on pay scale), since she is the one that gave me Topamax for my CH. I have no idea what direction that will go when I tell her I quit taking it. Think I will tell her indirectly. Rock

I have to agree, this last cycle I barfed, had no meds only a red bull, was a 10 and after barfing the pain left shortly after. Some type of aborting thing. TxCH, I am glad you got it fugured out. I had a feeling that spray was the culprit. I hate that your in pain. There is a thread on the general board started by Jay about scalp and face sensitivity, anyways, Jeff posted something about TMJ exercises. Go check it out, try it. Hell, i'll try anything!

First of all I am so glad that Jeff's ch went from 7 to 1! I dont have TMJ but I clench big time in my sleep. Jeff, I dont think your jumping the gun at all, I think your awesome for sharing this info!!! I found it very interesting and plan on trying the exercises. I yawn from HBW seeds. Ridiculous yawning, like the day after dosing. I personally dont experience the scalp or side of face sensitivity. Thanks for sharing Jeff!!!

Bigfoot, Sorry to hear bout the hits. Did you not get oxy? I know how it is, I couldnt afford it. I did order seeds for the first time in my life a couple of months ago. I think this is the most inexpensive thing you can do besides ice on your eye and red bull. I used Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds and after the second dose, my pain was cut in half!
