  1. ooooh! I hope another Portland Oregon one soon! Maybe I'll just hold one myself at my home, pass out Fadiman's book, and print out Mr. Wold's endless helpful info online....Hmm.. I can and paste flyers around town "Calling all migraineurs and cluster people: special tea & "brownies" to be served.

  2. Monica, I'm new as well and I'm in Portland! Feel free to reach out, I'm just getting started with "cluster-busting" (though not new to psychedelics in general, nor am I new to migraines, I have four types and will be dosing in the hopes of beating back several of them, especially these cluster aka suicide headaches.

  3. This is so awful. I too admit that I succumb to tears at times just with pain alone, but other times, more with basilar and classic with aura's, I find my eyes tearing on their own and a total sinus shutdown on one side or the other. Crying with clusters, absolutely. I wish I could hug you all, how dreadful the many dregs of migraines ...

  4. Hi clusternana! Prior to finding out about oxygen in 2007 and busting in 2009, when my hits were still in that 45 to 90 minute range, the more agitated I got included crying the worse the attack got.....since combining O2 and busting, I've experienced just 3 or 4 crying, snot slinging Kip 10's......the vast majority of hits over the past 10 years never got above 3-4 and were easily aborted with O2 and hot coffee or tea in 5 to 7 minutes and oftentimes less than 5 minutes.......still the same on agitation though as far as exacerbating the intensity of a hit! 5. At one point I would get so angry I could feel the pressure building in my head and making everything much worse. I have tried to say the hell with it and go for the ride and not be so mad about it and things seem to be much less painful.

  7. I have to agree with Siegfried on this one. I've tried yoga a handful of times, most ending in a migraine or a cluster headache shouting at me from within a migraine. The last time I went to such a class, it was billed as a Yoga/Tai Chi/Pilates mix. I love Tai Chi, and am Ok with Pilates. There was about 3 minutes of Tai Chi, 5 minutes of Pilates and then an hour of Yoga. When it was over, the migraine had already started building. By the time I got home, it maxed out and turned into a cluster attack. I spent the next hour in tears. Especially the Downward Dog. Yes, let's just put our head on the ground and stick our butts in the air so all the pressure and blood goes to our heads. Yeah, like that's an idea. Am pretty impressed I wrote all that without swearing, even once. I hate yoga. MG

  8. Frankly if I thought I was going back into a cluster cycle (and busting wasn't working for prevention) I think I might be more likely to seek out the Harlequin! I say this just because although I can see the CBD oil is effective for nerve pain, it's been requiring around 6 hits for an effective dose, and I'm afraid that might be too long for me to wait for a CH abort. Although maybe it would be good enough for the initial, not so off the charts, easier to abort attacks that have characterized the very beginning of a cycle for me. Or maybe I'd research into a best quality, faster/easier vaporizer for the CBD... I guess I'm thinking of the time it takes for 6 or more hits of CBD oil to kick in as being like taking an imitrex pill, and 1 to 4 hits of Harlequin potentially being more like an imitrex injection, but hey that's just the noise and wild guesswork rattling around in me noggin at the moment, with admittedly little thought or research put into it. Glad you brought it up though - maybe I could start with seeing how the oil affects a shadow, as I expect to have those randomly pass through now and then.... I'm also trying not to get TOO excited yet about CBD and CH since some CH'ers generally find marijuana to be an actual trigger, and I wouldn't know whether for them that might also apply to the CBD hemp oil or Harlequin. Again, I'm pretty much just free associating with random thoughts here, and very well may change my stance when better informed.
