  1. @Baby Moth, as evidenced by @BoscoPiko's reply, you sure came to the right place! Since Bosco covered the big stuff very nicely, I'll just follow with a bit of additional color: If left alone, or treated with certain pharmaceuticals it could, yes, but IT'S NOT GOING TO because you've happened upon the Blue Banner, D3 regimen, etc., that often enable us to prevent entire cycles - a big and most welcome deal. Great that you've had the O2 prescribed. It can be essential to know that high flow/non rebreather mask O2 can really make it work great if it isn't 100% working to abort attacks when following a typical low flow etc. prescription.

  2. Hi BM, CH can be really terrifying. As for will it get worse the answer is sometimes yes and sometimes no (not much help on that one).. Sort of the same response as above.. Unfortunately yes. Yep.. That little blue banner at the top of each forum page "new users please read here first". There is a bunch of things you can try to help you prevent them from happening and abort them when they happen. I am relieved to here that you received o2 it really can be a game changer. There is a plethora of information on this site from long time sufferers as well as those with family that have CH. You can even find videos on 02 breathing techniques, proper 02 mask types and flow levels along with all kinds of tips and tricks. I would start with the blue banner, then reading up on the D3 regimen (you will want to start this reg ASAP). Cruz this site in and out, you will find help here! My last post was about being scared my clusters were coming back so I really understand the fear as do all of us. CH is hard but It's going to be ok!!

  5. The only thing I would worry about is the pressure from the tank blowing the tubing off of one of your connections. I don't know how long the normal 02 tubbing can hold the pressure of a full tank at around 2000 psi. Just something to keep an eye on.

  7. Just brainstorming here but I think this might be something to experiment with. Click Here I've not tried these for O2 use so you'd be experimenting. Cheap enough that if they don't work it's no big deal. I would caution that the set up you propose wouldn't be the safest. Personally, I'm not much on keeping lines charged due to the possibility of leakage.

  9. Thanks for the brilliant brainstorming. Sounds like just what I'm looking for! I've ordered and will see what happens. I did not think of irrigation or aquarium products. I also very much appreciate your cautionary comments. In this case, the twist valve you shared would be next to me during the hours at night when I am awake and my wife is asleep. When I am asleep the main valve on the O2 cylinder will be fully closed. Until needed when I am in the bedroom, of course. Thank you again for your time and comments. They are both very much appreciated.

  10. I know this is an old thread, but if anyone in the Houston are is looking for a neurologist in the Houston area, I would strongly recommend Dr Blake and her PA-C, Jill Flury. There are no subjects that are off limits regarding treatment, including what many of us here are doing. Dr Pamela Blake MD, FAHS Director, Headache Center of River Oaks Jill Flury, PA-C

  13. Here is a copy and paste from a previous discussion about it on here. It includes all of the original regimen plus this: ***We have also had a number of CHers respond to a collection of supplements with antihistamine properties I call the Antihistamine Full Monty. It includes 3 grams/day each of Turmeric (Curcumin), Quercetin, Resveratrol and Omega-3. It also includes 250 mcg/day Selenium, 5 mg/day Melatonin (taken at bedtime) and 8 grams/day vitamin C. You can also add 500 mg.day NAC. I buy the bulk powdered vitamin C in 1Kg bags and stir two level teaspoons in 8 oz of water then take sips all day until it's gone by bedtime. It tastes like unsweetened lemonade. You can taper the first four supplements to 2 grams/day after a week to 10 days fully CH pain free. I'd stay at 2 grams/day on the first four supplements for at least a month. Dealer's choice on tapering further.*****
