  1. Ting, Thanks for the pics... I sure hate I couldn't get up there... Will definitely make Vegas next year! Jeff
  2. All, So I've thought about a demand O2 system for quite a while now. Given that Oxygen works quite well for me, just seems an easier and less wastefull system to use a demand valve. I just read in another thread they are $350 and up for demand valves. I have to say... WOW... That's incredibly expensive for something that only has 2 moving parts. I'm an avid diver and all SCUBA regulators are demand valves for use with high pressure. The only real difference is regulators have to be "o2 clean" or built and cleaned with special materials that do not react with 100% oxygen. Just a hypothetical question, but if someone could make them at a more reasonable price, if enough people would want them? Just wondering... Jeff
  3. I must be missing something obvious as I'm not getting any special reference to that weekend. It's funny what you can find in no time on the internet. That weekend is the same weekend as the Society of Clinical Research Associates has their conference at the Rio in Vegas. Jeff
  4. I'm in for 2012. You say 'go' and I'm purchasing tickets that day! (BTW: I've never left Vegas with less than I started with! ;D I missed a new Corvette by 50c in 1992 (only put 25c in the machine and hit the jackpot) Jeff
  5. ok, so my post is completely unrelated to this thread, but have to comment on the add rotator that just popped up. It's for the Florida Drug Rehab Center. I almost laughed out loud when I read it.. ha.. Jimmys, I completely agree, the cost of imitrex is outrageous... Thankfully I don't use it anymore!! Jeff
  6. I look forward to seeing the meet and greet info when it's posted. Jeff
  7. Where / What is STL? I went to the OUCH website and couldn't find anything on future gatherings. Jeff
  8. I'm really gonna miss not being there to meet everyone. Some things have gone sideways at work and I'll be working the entire weekend getting some things resolved. Will the presentations be recorded and put on the website? Jeff
  9. On the water question: From tons of reading on the subject cross multiple websites, the common theme is to stay away from chlorinated water. That the chlorine reacts with the LSA and turns it into something benign. Chlorine is in regular municiple water supplies and even some bottled water (to ensure it doesn't grow bad stuff setting on the shelf). On the other hand distilled water has all the chemicals and minerals removed. I'd guess that well water should be good as well. Water is basically used to disolve the LSA in the water and leave behind the seed (gook). I'm certainly no expert, but the above is what I've found through much reading on the internet (hey, you know if someone wrote it on the internet it must be true Anyway, I've always used distilled water and with fresh seeds am able to 'feel' the mild LSA effects, per appropriate dose every time. Good luck, Jeff
  10. This analysis is stellar and shows how ineffective the dr prescribed treatments realy are. http://www.psychonautdocs.com/docs/sewell_2006_response_of_cluster_headache_to_psilocybin_and_lsd.pdf Jeff
  11. violinmaker, Interesting information! I have to say that since getting my CH pain under control with busting, I feel smarter... 8-) Maybe my grey matter didn't turn into black water (anyone with a large boat or camper should get that one. .. ha... Jeff
  12. 100% concur with Brew! Shot glass with distilled water. Jeff
  13. A few drops of peppermint extract works wonders with the taste. Jeff
  14. Joey, It doesn't sound like the O2 is working. Normal attacks are around 1 to 2 hours for most people w/o Oxygen. The key to Oxygen is NOT to delay. As soon as he feels an attack is coming, get on the Oxygen immediately. I'v found through experience if I get to the O2 as soon as I feel it starting I can kill it in as little as 5 mins. If I don't start the oxygen until the pain is ramping up, then it's 45 minutes or more. The key is react quickly with a high flow. Jeff
  15. Joey, I concur with MJ. With a K10, the pain is more intense than anything imaginable. They are called suicide headaches for a very valid reason. Over the last 23 or so years I'v lived with CH the attacks seemed to increase in pain each year. That is, until my introduction to seeds, fungus and O2. Life is unbelievably better now. I haven't touched anything from the witch doctors in over a year now and life is 100 fold better than with all the prescription meds (that either didn't work or had terrible side effects). Jeff
  16. One of the best movies of all time!!! The nun scene with the ruler is the best... I'm laughing inside just thinking about it. Jeff
  17. I'm finding that now after surfacing from dealing with the beast for so many years. I find I'm more open minded, curious, more positive outlook (and hopefull humanity can start taking care of the earth better before it's too late), have very different views than I once had some years ago. For the first time in my life I'm pondering the question, how did we get here? What's out there in the universe?..... (I was just starting to get into the Stargate Universe scify show before they canceled it) Jeff
  18. Thanks everyone for the kind comments. And, while my wife has been with me through a few bad ones, she has no concept of what a K10 is or what we go through with the night hits and no sleep. When I've tried to talk about how the seeds or shrooms take the pain away for days at a time (or more). She either walks away or just tunes me out. I can understand to a degree those out there that have been brain washed by negative drug propoganda (I was one of them once). One would think living with someone for 10 years with CH would create some sort of understanding (not really with her though). I'd like to give just one, two hour K10 to everyone out there that's either a nay sayer on shrooms or government policy maker. That's sort of a harsh comment, but I have no doubt most would change their opinion on the use of these alternative methods when faced with a level of pain there is no perceived way out of when in the throws of a K10. Jeff
  19. Ricardo, That's a hoot........ Who has time to do stuff like this? Jeff
  20. What the BB Said. I've had so many K10's, I'm only here by mere chance and luck. I'm so thankful to have found this treatement. I'm starting to go through a divorce and just had to throw out every shread of fungus or fungus materials. I'm fearful my wife would call the police and I'd be looking through a set of bars for simply trying to treat this unbelieveablly debilitating condition. Thankfully I'm out of cycle right now and I'll remain so for long enough to get through this. Jeff
  21. Jimmy, I'm in Tampa / Saint Pete. Hoping to go, but haven't worked it out with work yet. Jeff
  22. No mention of the two worst for me, Alcohol and Chocolate I'm thinking their list was coppied from a migrane list not CH. (though some do overlap) Jeff
  23. Justme, I can tell you that my angry, crazy, confused, twitchy irritable spells have gone from everywhere to nowhere since starting my busting regimin. I'm a much better person now, no doubt. I'm convinced it's 60% having the beast under control, 30% getting better sleep and 10% positive side effects of the busting treatments. Jeff
  24. Engergy drink followed quickly with O2. knocks out 95% of my hits very quickly. On the drug testing: Some guys I roomed with years ago drank lots of water after a night of partying. Most importantly when they had a drug test scheduled (knew 6+ hours ahead of time). They would start hammering the water down. pee and keep peeing until it ran clear and they had to hit the cup.. ha... Basically that dilutes anything in your urine to undetectible levels (make it run clear). I know those guys would smoke pot and do coke (which stays in your system 4 to 6 weeks) and get tested a day or two after. None of them ever got caught on a urinalysis. With the understanding that LSA, LSD and Mushies have much smaller amounts of active chemicals. I'd think this process would work even better for them. Just make sure you don't drink too much water as I'm sure you're well aware can cause brain swelling.
  25. I hope more people take the Poll, as the discussions on licorice seem to differ greately from the current poll results. Jeff
