Concur with Jeebs, Moxie and Father. If you don't have O2 and energy drinks they're a life saver while weaning off the pharmacutical cr@p. I haven't had to put prescription drugs in my body in a LONG time now. Hope you can get there too. Busting has made such a difference in my well being. PFW, Jeff

These devices have been around for quite some time. If I recall correctly it was originaly developed in Russia many years ago. I've tried a unit similar to this one, didn't work even a little bit. http://www.electronichealing.org/products/electronic_pain_reliever.htm PFW, Jeff

Dan, Glad you're finding some pain free time. Can't remember, have you ever tried the seeds? They worked really good for me a while back. Maybe try alternating between seeds and fungus? PFW my friend, Jeff -
I'll be bringing my regulator, but expect no hits as my preventative dosing regimen is working beautifully!!!! Got my hotel room reserved last week!! wahoo.. Arrive Wed night and leave Sun morning. Figured I'd get there early to scope out a good seat. (oh yea, and shell out a few bucks to the slots PFW, Jeff

Joshua, While I think the data says seeds work as good if not better than vitamin M. Finding seeds that are not old, and have active chemicals is VERY difficult. Fungus aka, Vitamin M has a very consistent chemical content and works consistently. Seeds not so consistent on the chemical content nor the related action of terminating our CH. PFW, Jeff

Best wishes Moxie! Hit it hard and fast. I found each dose takes it down an order of magnitude in pain. I'd expect your second dose should be much better. PFW, Jeff

Brad, Got your O2? Energy drinks (with Taruine)? Seeds? Fungus? Knock it down before it gets a chance to take hold. PFW, Jeff

Brad, PF Wishes, sorry you're back, but glad you're here. Jeff

Dave, It's really a crap shoot on getting potent seeds. The best ones I found were ordered off ebay from someone actually in Hawaii. I'm pretty sure the seeds should be harvested in the northern hemisphere in the late summer, early Fall. I plan on buying more and freezing a few packs this fall. Sure wish there was a way of testing potency without actually having to take them as a potency test. PFW, Jeff

k-bo, Episodics can go chronic and chronics can go eposidic at about any time. No real reason or understanding why is all I've read. The jury seems to be out on the question if our condition ever goes away. From some of the "old timers" on the board you can see it's not BAU to out grow CH. I've read several times that the incidence of attacks go down at some point, but that could just be flawed data, with people not reporting attacks as they get older and just deal with their CH instead of telling their docs etc. I know my pain levels went up as I got older right up to the point I found this website and started taking seeds / mushies. (42 years young.. ;D PFW, Jeff

Polsonsel, I too found seeds to work great when I first started busting. Only HBWR worked (with all the bad side effects of the HBWR, nausia stomach cramps, etc.). I never found any RC seeds that were potent. I ordered from three different vendors and all were too weak to be of any use. I'm inclined to say that's the reason some don't have luck with the seeds is to many for sale on the internet are OLD stock. I went through the same thing with HBWR, but eventually found a few batches that were potent. The potent seeds DEFILITELY busted the cycle I was in. A year ago they quit working and I changed to fungus. Vitamin M has worked great ever since. PFDAN ever since.. PFW, Jeff

Triptamine, Regarding your question about understanding employers: I'm lucky to currently have an understanding employer. They are few and far between. I've had a few that were just downright A$$'s about my CH. I was let go from a company (wow it's been 13 years now) when all I had in my tool belt was imitrex. I couldn't think straight for days after an injection. I was running on hardly no sleep, combined with the CH attacks during the day and night and imitrex fog = bad days... Definitely know my job performance was cr@p at the time, so can't blame them too much. They just had no understanding. They let me go 1 day before my 1 year aniversary, which would have given me my signing bonus. (I know my boss timed it as such, just so he could rub my nose in a little more dirt.. Enough of the snivels. ha ha.. I KICK A$$ today!!, I can do anything I want and I DO... ;D You can to!! Try Monster in the blue can It's the Lo-Carb stuff. I've found the sugar in most of the energy drinks gives me the jitters, tired etc... The blue can monster definitely helps ease the attacks and combined with O2 is an unbelievable abortive! PFW, Jeff

polsonsel, From my somewhat limited knowledge in the area of imitrex. I think you might be wasting the fungus, given it's only been 2 days. If it's your only opportunity and you have plenty of fungus then it won't hurt to go ahead and dose. Someone else might be able to provide better direction. PFW, Jeff
-
k-bo, Hate to tell you this, given you're in the middle of attacks, but for the seeds to work their magic you'll need to detox from the imitrex for 5 days. Can't remember, do you have Oxygen? That, with the energy drinks REALLY does the trick aborting the individual attacks while your body gets all the imitrex out. I recently took a 150 cf welding gas tank and exchanged it at AirGas here in FL for only $21 for a full O2 tank. A regulator and mask and you're ready to go. (sorry if I'm repeating what someone already posted). PFW, Jeff

k-bo, Have you thouht about busting anymore? Seeds can be ordered very quick and easily. Any side effects are very minimal with RC, and none last longer than a few hours. Most have very good luck with cycle termination with seeds. PFW, Jeff
-
Yea, my times would change from cycle to cycle. Sometimes 1:03am like an alarm clock, other cycles 11pm or 3am. Each cycle usually had a different time. JEff

Interesting... Found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migraine_surgery It seems to be a very successful procedure for some types of migraine. Heilette, have you tried botox successfully? The article says there's a high success of the surgery if botox of the trigger artery / muscle successfully stops the attacks. Is your doctor attempting to do this for your CH? or Migraine? PFW, Jeff
-
Heilette, I've never heard of that procedure (not that I'm any expert). Doesn't seem like cauterizing an artery would have any positive outcome? The pain of CH is in the trimengal nerve and the hypothalimus. Can you explain the procedure? I couldn't find anything about it on google. PFW, Jeff

k-bo, No worries, things will get better. I recently went through the big 'D' and my life is much better now than it was before. Things have a way of working out. Just gotta ride the ups and downs till it gets there. I've found (and many others) that you have to get to the O2 QUICK for it to be effective. If the attack gets full blown before I get to the tank, it hardly works. If I hit it as soon as I feel the attack coming, they usually die off to nothing right as it starts ramping up the pain scale. I second the energy drinks. My preference is Monster with the blue label. I think it's the low carb (10 calories). Not that I'm watching my calories, but I don't crash after drinking one. The full sugar (green) cans cause me to almost immediately fall asleep. Couldn't tell you why, but sugar makes me fall asleep. Anyway. When you feel one coming, pound 1/2 an energy drink as you're moving to your O2 tank. After about 5 minutes on the O2, I'll take a quick break and pound down the remainder of the can. Never have a problem falling asleep after the attack subsides if getting night attacks. I'm usually wiped out / exhausted, so even the energy drink doesn't keep me up. PFW, Keep us posted on how you're doing. Jeff

Airline ticket already purchased. Still need to get the room and door prize,, ummm door ticket.. ha ha.. Going to learn, and more importantly meet some of the people from the board. I've only actually met one other with CH in person. PFW, Jeff

Here's where I posted my flame. It seems they may have tried deleting it, but didn't delete it properly. Title is "Cluser Headaches". One time I refresh it's there, the next it's gone. Link won't open to actually read it though. Could be their site just doesn't work properly... http://www.thedoctorstv.com/forums/768 PFW, Jeff

ClusterFeck, If you're still getting shadows, I'd bust again and stay away from the alcohol. I've had more than a few cycles feel like they were over only to come back stronger than the first part of the cycle. Don't tempt the beast if you don't have to. PFW, Jeff
-
Ok, I couldn't help myself... I created an ID and flamed them... I feel so much better now... PFW My Friends, Jeff

These so called "Doctors" are freaking idiots....... Their recomendation to solve cluster headaches is on par with taking an asprin to cure cancer.. WTF... They are completely clueless and yet people out there are listening to their advice... I almost created an ID just to flame them in the discussion area... > PFW, Jeff

I always dose now at the first sign of a cycle starting. For me it's after the third vivid dream, I know the beast is coming for me a few days right after. Dose.. and he never comes! yahoo. PFW, Jeff
