  1. Very wrenching indeed - I could hardly make it through the whole article. I'm debating whether it's even appropriate to bring this up at this point, but part of me wonders if the outcome might have been different if the younger brother had been well informed regarding busting. Not that it should've been the older brother's responsibility to do that research for him. I figure we should all do a certain amount of our own research if we're able to (and if nobody else - like a spouse or parent - is volunteering to do it for us). Complicating matters for those in the UK who go to OUCH UK for information is the suppression of busting info there...... "he was on a complex regime of medication that he was finding difficult to manage properly. He wasn't working. He was getting very thin. He and his girlfriend split up, perhaps his last anchor outside of my mum to a routine life. He was falling into debt."
  2. Howdydoo Tyke, Poring over innumerable reports from CH'ers over the years, I've definitely noticed a common thread where a given headbanger will often experience a very established and predictable CH pattern that will go on for years or even decades, then outa nowhere the stoopid 'ol McBeast-o-buddy will suddenly and without provocation change things up in ways said headbanging person thought they'd never see. Changing sides for instance. That's actually fairly common. Barometric pressure is an oft discussed and much loathed trigger for some of us indeed. But for a cycle to halt just due to good weather? I have to admit I don't recall hearing that one before. I'll suggest spending your regularly scheduled CH cycles at the shore in San Diego, California, where the weather is outrageously mild. ;D 8-) But wait a minute, even THEY have what's known as 'June gloom" - some overcast days, so certain parts of Hawaii, etc. might be preferable still. 8-) (Geographical references are from an admittedly very USA-centric perspective ;D).
  3. I think it likely will be (speaking of NO BRAINERS), but my crystal ball unfortunately hasn't been functioning at 100% just lately. If it does arrive yesterday it will be wayyyyyy overdue. :-?
  4. Dang if there isn't a country directly south of Canada that's excluded from that list. :-? Well there are plenty of Canadians and EU folk on here, so yeah, why don't y'all mosey to the corner drugstore*, snatch yourselves a gamacore or 2, give 'em a shot and report back. 8-) *OK OK this particular contraption may require some sort of pesky doctor appointment. :-/
  5. That's purty dog tootin' interesting, shocked, thanks.Â
  6. Ooh GOOD WORK stevo [smiley=thumbup.gif], glad to hear you've knocked the beast down and are preparing to go in for the kill.Â
  7. Agreed. Doubly and triply agreed. I'm definitely not buying into the old conventional take on what percent of the population has CH, or the exaggerated gender disparity. Females who eventually do get diagnosed with CH routinely report difficulty getting that diagnosis due to gender assumptions made by doctors.
  8. My individual hits eventually grew to be much longer too - around 3 hours, and I would wonder if there could be some "pent up fury" sort of effect when a hit would break through after several had been aborted (I've always been episodic). I'm not sure how common it is for this most unwelcome development to happen over time. :-?
  9. I don't know if preventative busting would exactly be the correct term at this point, but hey CLOSE ENOUGH. While a CH cycle can potentially be busted at any point, your prospects are still especially good I think at this early stage. If I were you I'd be busting TODAY if not sooner , if you have busting materials on hand. Lotsa headbangers here have had a cycle start up, but have been able to knock it back down, albeit with more than one busting session required (hi Denny and THMH 8-)).
  10. WHAAA??!! $3000???!!! That is un-FREEKING-believable! :o There are angels, then there are ANGELS2. YOW. :o Incredible. [smiley=thumbup.gif] [move] [smiley=engel017.gif] [smiley=engel017.gif] [smiley=engel017.gif] [smiley=engel017.gif] [smiley=engel017.gif] [smiley=engel017.gif] [smiley=engel017.gif] [smiley=engel017.gif] [smiley=engel017.gif] [smiley=engel017.gif] [smiley=engel017.gif] [smiley=engel017.gif][/move]
  11. Dam. Well maybe that could explain my history of bad jeans. I wore stone washed in the 80's.
  12. So now we have complete license to just carefree do all manner of otherwise cancer causing things??!! SWEET! OK, probably a good idea to hold off on that particular risks ignoring plan until more proof rolls in. Still it would be a nice CH consolation prize to be big 'C' bullet proof.Â
  13. WOW that is entirely awesome! [smiley=thumbup.gif] [smiley=thumbup.gif] [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]Â
  14. That's some brilliant information plucking Ricardo. Thank you. 8-)
  15. How sad that he approached the UK cluster support group (which must be OUCH UK) about a BOL study and they said "oh we couldn't possibly support research using an illegal drug". What kind of bleeding idiots are these OUCH UK arseholes?! My God, do these tossers have crumpets lodged up their bums or something? (I'm of english ancestry so I like to think I have license to say such things). I see 2 disturbing things here right off the bat: 1) OUCH UK is run by complete unadulterated d***heads 2) Professor Nutt didn't think to approach a US group (or maybe he had to stay within the bounds of the UK). OUCH US, when they were still in operation, would have enthusiastically supported a study, as obviously would clusterbusters and likely ch.com too.. Just to make my position perfectly clear: BUGGER OFF, OUCH UK. (this is strictly directed to the wankers running OUCH UK, doing their deranged utmost to suppress the knowledge of, and scientific research on BOL, the most promising CH preventative with the least side effects to date. Not directed towards the rank and file members there, whom I pray can overthrow the current horrifically misguided regime ASAP).
  16. Ain't that the truth - it's both a shame and utter insanity IMO. And when they routinely feed antibiotic and hormone type drugs to dairy cows it's udder insanity. Agreed with that too.Â
  17. Personally I think it's not OK to be inflicting pain on animals in order to perform experiments, but I'm glad to see that what a bunch of us here have found to be true is now being proven in studies: Vit M can be astoundingly effective at wiping out PTSD in a jiffy. And I mean toot sweet. 8-)
  18. I dunno, my impression is that for some of us they do just plain become more intense over the decades. I try not to say that too often, so as not to scare younger CH'ers about what the future could hold. With the advent of busting etc. I think they'll fare much better with treating these buggers.
  19. As far as I've seen, seratonin syndrome is a theoretical risk in this scenario of SPUT combined with triptan, one that I believe at least one guru here (Ricardo) has disregarded. I believe he'll inject imitrex to abort a CH attack right during a high dose M bust, with no ill effects. That's the way I remember it anyhoo. Somebody correct ME if I am wrong!!!!!!! If it was me, this long after having taken a Relpax, I don't think I'd be too concerned about any pesky seratonin syndrome with just a lil' ol' SPUT. 8-)
  20. Indeed it can be, and it can be considered PTSD. If you haven't run across discussion of it yet Ann, vitamin M fortunately tends to be very powerfully effective for long term relief from PTSD.
  21. I believe the reference to natural meds for migraine is in fact a reference to busting. From what I've seen here, based on reports from headbangers like yourself who have a history of both frequent migraines and CH, busting can be even MORE immediately effective at snuffing out migraines than it is for clusters - and it's pretty darn tootin' effective for clusters!
  22. YES! (agreed with Spiny) From what I've seen, a common scenario with busting whle on verap is the busting will be effective to a degree, then when the CH is tamed enough and you're off the verap, the busting can really get in there and do it's work 100%. Sorry and horrified to hear of your high cycle straight from hell. Increased intensity as the decades go by is one of the dirtiest tricks the beast has up his sleeve IMO, but when the O2 and triptans stop working that's just way past unspeakable - I can see exactly why you're inspired to bust, brain dead dainbread! Really hoping it'll bring some major relief. (You're probably already well aware that unlike verap, triptans are major busting blockers, and tend to really spoil the party)
  23. Hey Sergi, I've seen a couple headbangers report even more exaggerated cuckoo-ness in a post-busting attack, or even during busting, where they had all the eye/nose symptoms of a K10 but with ZERO pain whatsoever. So your attack was weird but there have been even weirder.Â
